Happy Late-January, folks! It looks like it's going to be a nice warm week (compared). Woot! Not that I don't love the snow but, we've had a lot of 'old' snow sitting around for far too long, IMO.
You've probably noticed that I've been making kind of a slow roll into the new year. I'm keeping my Mondays and Fridays flexible for now so that I can have some wiggle room in my weeks. My hubby is starting to travel, again, and with Winter weather messing with school schedules, I'm trying to relieve the pressure a bit to always have the front open. This could open up once we get to Spring.
I am hoping to have Brunch available at some point soon. I'll keep you in the loop on that. I'm not quite ready to commit to an early Wednesday, yet.
I have started researching more pre-made products like pastries, soups, dressings, desserts, etc. so that I can more consistently offer a fuller and more diverse cafeteria. I'm doing my best to source the cleanest/most preservative-free items that I can find while helping ease the pressure off myself in the kitchen to make everything from scratch - which I inevitably run out of time for. I will continue to make the items that I'm already making but, for example, if I don't have time to make a soup from scratch, I want to have a pre-made one on hand that I can still put out. My hope is that this will aid me in being more consistent in my offerings so that you can count of having something to eat each day. I am figuring out a labelling system so that you will know what brands of products are available and have access to the nutritional information. I know there are lots of food sensitivities so, I want you to be empowered to have the right information when you're making your food choices.
Additionally, I'm exploring the idea of adding personal-sized pizzas to my offerings. I have quite a bit to work out but, I'm hoping this could be coming soon! They will, likely, be online pre-order only. I am working on the ordering system now.
All of these things are barring any major catastrophes... I appreciate you all for supporting me!
